Universal Orlando and Loews Hotels have announced a new hotel: Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.

Expected to open in 2016, the new resort will aim to make families feel as though they’re in the Caribbean, with a tropical river and towering waterfall. The hotel will also offer a pool with a waterslide and “beach,” complemented by a poolside bar and restaurant.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will feature 1,000 rooms, 77 of which will be suites. Many accommodations will be pet-friendly, as well.

An air-conditioned bridge will link the new hotel to Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and all guests will enjoy early park admission to Universal Orlando Resort.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will be the fifth hotel to open at Universal Orlando; Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort opened earlier this year.

Reservations at the new hotel will be available in Spring 2015.
