Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has launched its newest ship, the S.S. Joie de Vivre (“the joy of living”). Setting sail on the Seine River in France, the ship was christened by its Godmother, Dame Joan Collins. The ship will sail Northern France with a Paris to Normandy itinerary.

The S.S. Joie de Vivre offers guests 54 staterooms, eight Junior Suites and two Royal Suites with a maximum capacity of 128 guests to keep the sailings intimate. The ship will sail through December 27, 2017, and is inspired by Paris’ 20th Century in design and style. It boasts a pool that converts into a nightly entertainment space with the use of a hydraulic flooring system.

Uniworld special multigenerational family cruise will operate on the Joie de Vivre, with 8-day sailings from Paris to Paris stopping in Vernon, Giverny, Rouen, Honfleur, Caudebec-en-Caux, Versailles and the beaches of Normandy. Kids will have a chance to explore Monet’s gardens in Giverny, the Palace of Versailles and the NaturoSpace and National Museum of Natural History. Kids cruise half price on these special cruises, available on June 25, Juky 2, and July 9 sailings in 2017.

Uniworld is now accepting bookings for the Joie de Vivre.
