The USS Midway Museum, aboard the icon Midway aircraft carrier docked in San Diego, opened a new exhibit and theater this spring. “The Battle of Midway Experience” will commemorate the historic 1942 Naval victory at the Battle of Midway, which lasted just six minutes yet turned the tide of the war in the Pacific.

The new exhibit will include a 90-seat holographic theater that features a 14-minute film showcasing the heroes of the war in “Voices at Midway.” The exterior of the theater will be a replica of the USS Yorktown ship that was sunk by the enemy during the battle. The exhibit also includes a restored SBD Dauntless dive bomber and F4F Wildcat, two of the aircraft used in the battle.

The new exhibits are included in museum admission, which is $20 per adult, $15 for children 13 to 17, $10 for children 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. Learn more about the USS Midway Museum and San Diego’s attractions for families.
