Overview

Niyama is the sister resort to the new Kandima lifestyle island. Kandima is geared more towards luxury and boasts a breathtaking underwater restaurant. Explorer’s kids’ club splits children up into age groups, with a unique timetable for each group. Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the club’s activities revolve around arts and crafts and the sea.

Families can choose either the Family Beach Suite with pool, with a sofa bed for children, or the more spacious three-bedroom Family Beach Pavilion with pools.

Great family holiday destination

by Bucci247

Myself, my wife and our 2 daughters, (8 and 5), spent 10 days at the Niyama Island resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The island itself is very beautiful with lots of facilities but the staff made the difference.

Our host for the entire 10 days was Affan and he made sure we had everything we wanted. Nothing was too much to ask!

And there were others to mention also.

Richie from the kids club made sure our kids had a fantastic time each time they visited the kids club.

Imran made sure we had fresh coconut drinks everyday.

Naj at Blue restaurant always found time to chat to us even though the restaurant was mostly busy.

Eda always made sure we had a treat or pleasant surprise in our villa each day.

Moses, Ice and Teddy at Epicure restaurant always made us feel very welcome each morning/evening. The kids always looked forward to seeing them.

I could go on...

Our dining experience at Nest and Tribal restaurants were simply memorable.

Overall, a very enjoyable trip. Was expensive but worth every penny.

A fabulous place

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in November 2019. It was amazing. The entire resort is meticulously clean and wonderfully designed. I’m not sure how they inspire the staff to be consistently friendly and helpful but it was quite surprising that all seemed genuinely happy. The beaches and villas were what we hoped from a high end Maldives resort - beautiful and warming. The food was spectacular. As vegetarians often one feels overlooked at the buffet and at the specialty restaurants but here we were treated to an amazing array of fantastic vegetarian dishes. The chefs take particular pride in ensuring you have the best dining experience. Truly a great place.
