We were two couples who travelled up to the Haliburton area for the weekend. We had not heard about Nomi but it looked liked a nice winter offering, so we booked it. The location, friendliness and the cuisine could not have been more pleasing. The accommodation was fine...country rustic but comfortable queen beds, nice rooms and very clean! The open concept of the resort is most pleasing to the eye and you would seem to have the place to yourself, while it was fully booked. There are Spa options with RMT's, sauna etc. They offer Yoga inside and out..in the summer and the 850 Acres of trails, offer extensive x-country. We chose to snow shoe to the lake.
Cannot say enough of the good memories we have of Nomi, but none stand out more than the fabulous Cuisine. Some of the best dinners all of us had experienced in a long time. The dinner menu offered about 10 plus options. Those who selected the short ribs were very pleased, I had the Vegetarian Indian ish stirfry with large noodles...which was fabulous and the chicken and the ribs were the best one companion said, that he'd ever had.
Breakfast had multiple offerings......but the Eggs Benedict seemed to win out most often.!!!
All in all .. Nomi has our Vote for a return visit. May even try the Summer up there at their lake this time!
