Reviews

Good location!

by Pauline N

This lodge worked well for an overnight stay; we were able to walk to a concert at the local jazz club. It provides good bedding, a clean room, and a friendly staff. Coffee, wifi, parking and swimming are free! Shopping and restaurants, as well as the Boardwalk is within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Rough around the edges

by Ann E

I wrote a review on the Ocean Pacific Lodge website but they didn't post it. My first impression was that the room was dark and felt closed in. The overall condition of the room is poor as though an incompetent handyman is maintaining the room. The paint was sloppy, rust on the hinges and wall damage, wallpaper was separating from the walls, the shower curtain rod was separated from the wall and multiple tiles were cracked, broken or poorly repaired. A bathroom fan would help to alleviate some of these issues. However, I found pencil marks on multiple walls used during hanging the shower curtain and artwork. The location was good for the boardwalk and beach. The beds were stiff, but ample. The floor felt sandy or unswept. The parking was tight but generally available for guests. Overall the price of $248/night was too high for the quality of this hotel with no complimentary breakfast. There are other hotel/motels that are better quality for similar pricing or less.
