Kids will love being welcomed with a backpack filled with fun surprises like a pair of binoculars for spotting the USS Lexington out in the bay. The large pool area is mostly outside, but there is an indoor pool portion so that even on a rainy day, swimming is always an option! Dive-in movies are part of the fun too.

The onsite restaurants make breakfast, lunch and dinner easy and delicious; plus, kids eat free! Families are within walking distance of even more restaurants in the area. This Corpus Christi hotel is in an ideal location, minutes from the USS Lexington, beaches and the Texas State Aquarium.

Reviews

Not a bad hotel but not an Omni experience

by TexasTraveler714

The rooms are what I would expect from an aging holiday inn, not an Omni. Not particularly nice, a little rundown looking but clean, tv remote doesn't work quite right unless you stand on the correct foot and push the button just right, etc, but certainly not a bad hotel room. Room decor probably more consistent with the original Miami Vice than anything else. The lobby experience is much nicer, coffee shop on first floor, bar on the second floor, restaurant on second and top floors, etc and I would say more consistent with your normal Omni.

Great Hotel, Great Staff and a beautiful view!!!

by Cosmopolitan781511

My husband and I enjoyed our restful getaway. The food was great, the staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. My husband loves the water so the view from our room was right on point for him. We will stay here again.

Family Activities

Indoor/Outdoor Pool

The large pool area offers indoor, outdoor and multi-level space for families to enjoy. The large heated pool is mostly outdoors, but swim under an elevated glass wall and a portion of the pool is indoors. So it's always swimming weather at the Omni! The outdoor pool deck features a seasonal poolside bar, several lounge chairs and tables with chairs and a small kiddie pool. The inside pool deck area features more chairs and couches, a hot tub and a large flat-screen television that is often playing family-friendly movies. There is a Ping-Pong table as well. On an upper level deck area outside, families will find more sun deck space with chairs and a fire pit, which is great to enjoy in the evenings. Pool towels are provided and the pool is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Restrooms are found nearby.

Racquetball Court

Two large, indoor racquetball courts can be found near the pool and fitness area.

Omni Kids Crew

Upon check-in, kids will receive a backpack filled with fun! An activity book, stickers, crayons, games and binoculars for spotting the USS Lexington in the bay can be found in the backpack. Milk and cookies will also be delivered to your room on the first night, too! Kids ages 4 to 12 can also eat free at the Glass Pavilion with a paying adult.

The restaurant is open from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Glass Pavilion Restaurant

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Glass Pavilion offers families the chance to look out on to the harbor while dining. Kids eat free here too! The breakfast buffet is a great option to start the day with an omelet and waffle station, fruit, bacon and biscuits. There is a designated gluten-free area with a gluten-free/non-contaminated toaster available to use as well. Lunch and dinner options offer sandwiches, burgers, crab mac and cheese, filet mignon, fish and more. It is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 to 10 p.m.
