Omni Majestic is a landmark hotel in downtown St. Louis. Elegant, well-appointed guest rooms and suites feature European-inspired decors with restored furnishings from the 19th Century. Bathrooms are made of Italian marble and poster beds adorned with lavish duvets. Guests can choose to stay in a Deluxe Room or one of three types of suites with one or two separate bedrooms. All units display sitting areas, coffeemakers, quality bedding and a complimentary morning newspaper. Kids are treated equally to, if not better than, adults at Omni. They receive welcoming gifts of backpacks chock-full of games and toys. Parents are also provided with childproofing items and a list of family-friendly attractions in the area. Pets are also welcome at Omni. The Mahogany Grille serves traditional pub cuisine in a casual atmosphere. It is open throughout the day and evening. The hotel is close to many family-friendly attractions, including the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium and the Edward Jones Dome.

Booked this 10 months ago via Expedia. Arrived this evening to find place completely closed down, looking derelict and abandoned.
We were with some friends who had also booked same hotel but with another agent.
Not the best sight to see after a whole days travelling.
Called Expedia who said they had received no update from hotel about being closed.
A guy walked past who said the hotel has been closed for months and was being refurbished!

Booked after seeing the beautiful photos of elegance and coziness and great location ( 3 1/2 months in advance receiving a confirmation). After 7 hours on the road and just four hours prior to our weekend events we entered an empty torn apart lobby filled with construction workers, wires hanging down, dust everywhere. Looked like a bomb site. Hotel was closed for remodeling. I never received a notice and there was no one to contact by phone for help.
