Historic motel where Hollywood Western stars used to stay - all the rooms are named after film stars. Our cabin was quiet and comfortable, with a nice front deck for sitting in warm weather. Lots of history in the lobby and the restaurant. Excellent buffet breakfast. Central location - walking distance to restaurants. Nice heated pool. Good base fror Zion and Bryce canyons. Not the cheapest in Kanab but definitely the most charm!
I just loved this place in “Little Hollywood”. This is a classic style motel, not a sleek, new, modern motel, but it has so much charm and individuality. Western movies and tv shows were filmed in this town and the motel and the whole town capitalizes on this. There are photos everywhere of stars who stayed here and several historic articles and documents from the time. Fun, fun, fun! We stayed in the Gabby Hayes room. It had everything expected in a motel - comfy bed, tv, WiFi, nice bathroom, cleanliness, but it also had the added charm of an archway dividing the bedroom from the dressing area.
The Lodge even shows movies every night.
The Lodge is a 90 minute drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
