After booking two night stay in a room with two double beds ..which we had a courtesy call a couple of days before to confirm .. on arrival at 8 pm shown to a room which had 1 kingsize bed and a bed pushed up against a wall with no headboards or lights ..complained and asked to be moved ...then put in a room with no heating just a portable radiator .one double bed and two other beds up against the windows no headboards .moved again to room with no heating and bed propped up by milk crate. Now 11-30 at night.made to feel by night manager it was our fault for turning up so late ... 2nd Day rescued by the lovely manager Richard who gave us the room we had booked..in first place ...and then gave us supper on the house ..faith restored ...

Had a very pleasant 2 night stay at Pillo Hotel over Halloween half term but was marred by cleanliness of some areas, especially the pool and changing rooms.

Positives:
Staff very friendly and helpful
Close to Tayto Park for family visit
Easy to find
Gym and pool
Room was decent size
Arrived 2 hours early but allowed to check in as room was ready.

Negatives:
Biggest negative was cleanliness of certain areas, especially pool and changing rooms. The pool area is a good size but sauna and steam are dates. Tiles around pool also scummy. Changing rooms were mouldy and glass between showers was really dirty.

1st floor bar was never staffed and seating area only cleaned occasionally.

Beds quite small... Seemed to be standard double

Would have liked to give 4/5 but the pool area and changing rooms brought it down to 3/5.
