The junior suites, each featuring corner windows, are ideal for families. The bathroom does not have a bathtub, but there is a television in each bedroom and the living room.
The guestrooms feature one king or two double beds. The bathrooms feature a shower/tub combo and some of the guestrooms feature a mini-fridge. So if that's something you may need, be sure to request it when making a reservation.
I stayed here 3 nights on a room block. The hotel was extremely busy so no extra perk for being Diamond (vs gold). The breakfast was terrific (that’s the best thing about hotel), but the strict policy of having to register your guest for breakfast was absolutely ridiculous.
No other Hilton or DoubleTree I stayed at had this policy or if they did they surely did not enforce it. My colleague has silver status and probably would’ve been gold had he not have a severe accident last year which stopped his travel (he has silver status from his timeshare). Anyway we hosted at the hotel with our room block. We selected this hotel and will surely not select it next year. They would not allow him to be my guest bc he was staying in a separate room as a silver member. I mean they are actually making more money bc I am not having a guest stay for free. It was seriously annoying AF. Then they next few days the hotel was overrun by high school kids slamming doors late at night, music loud, screaming laughing, running down the hallway. Security game up several times and it took about 1 hr for it to stop. That was around 11 pm. Others in our room block said they were glad they were not the only ones disappointed.
Another bizarre thing is on one day of our stay the free coffee was now near the hallway near the restaurant and they were charging! Wth?! One person eventually got a refund but the manager of this property should seriously reevaluate their rules and policies.
Lastly, I presented my business credit card to the desk upon check-in. They didn’t confirm which card I wanted to be charged, but since I presented the business card on check-in I thought it was the same card on file. I checked-out and asked for a hard copy as I did not receive anything under my door. Well they charged my personal card and I asked to switch and all was said was sorry too late you checked-out.
The customer service here is friendly but sucks for actually doing something for you.
Next year’s room block will likely be elsewhere based on my experience.

The Art of Smart Timing
When children are off from school for spring break or the summer, the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel can be a bit busier. But it can be at its busiest in the spring when the state legislators are in session as the State Capitol building is only a few blocks away.
