Overview

Rainbow Bend Fishing Resort is a classic old Florida motel located on Grassy Key near Marathon in the Florida Keys. The resort sits directly on the beach with two docks for guest use, a restaurant, spa, pool and BBQ are on the beach. Each cottage allows for privacy and a quiet area where you and your family can lounge and relax together. Suites are also quite roomy. You can be as active or inactive as you want here, choosing to spend your days lounging in the outdoor seating area and enjoying the view or jumping off the dock and going for a swim. Pets are welcome, too.

You’re right off the main drag through the Keys here, so you can easily head out from the property to visit the Dolphin Research Center, go on a snorkeling and fishing tour or even go down to Key West for the day. Or just stick around the property and rent snorkel gear, paddle or motor boats and fishing gear to have some fun right off the local dock.

Half way point going home

by tsteichen697

We picked this hotel as a half way point on our way home. We were a little worried because of the hurricane. The place did not have very good reviews but we decided to take a chance. The room we had was in the front by the main road. The noise was not bad at all. The room was very spacious and newly remodeled. It would have been nice if we could have stayed more then one night. The pool was very nice. The views of the ocean from the pool was nice. The only draw back was from the smell of the dying seaweed all around. It was not only at this place but all around the islands of the Keys. It was very hard to be outside with the smell but that was not their fault. The front desk lady was very nice and was very helpful. We would go back and stay there again.
