Good Stay

by David K

I was on my way east on my motorcycle taking highway 50, the Loneliest Road in America, and targeted Ely for a stop. I got a room across from the bar and near the slot machines. Turned out there was no problem with noise. The room was large enough and clean. The hotel was in walking distance of a grocery store for beer and other stuff. I ordered from the restaurant in the hotel and was told that they would deliver the food. After a long wait I walked back upstairs to the restaurant and found that they had misplaced my order. They were apologetic and put together my order as quickly as they could. I talked to the desk people the next morning and was told that the restaurant staff were all pretty new at it and were overwhelmed with the work.
