I stayed at The Hotel @ New York City with my boyfriend from July 26th from August 5th and had a pretty great experience! Upon arrival, even if the check-in is only at 3pm, they let us keep all our luggage there where we walked the city while we waited for the check-in hour (the same thing happens with the check-out, which was really helpful!)
The hotel amenities were fine, the breakfast is simple but just perfect for what we needed, and had even more food than we expected - they offer pancakes, waffles, donuts, bagels, cereal, milk, coffee and fruits - and we never had problems with finding tables to eat: the breakfast court is really comfortable, even if it's not big.
The staff in the front desk (Edward, Julie, and others) is very pleasant, helpful and they were always very nice to us and the other guests - they even gave recommendations of good places to deliver food from. Other things the hotel staff offer for the clients and that functioned very well and were very helpful during my stay is keeping products delivered from e-commerce (but they only accept those delivered during the period we are checked in there, not before) and booking a shuttle service for JFK airport ($25 approximately cost for each traveler). The only thing we thought were missing and would've been very helpful was a scale for weighting our luggage.
Our room was not very big but it was very comfortable and clean. It was practical since it had a lot of drawers, tables and a closet for us to storage our stuff while we were there. The bathroom was clean as well, the only downside of it was the shower area which didn't actually have a door or something else to prevent the water from escaping and watering the bathroom floor. The hotel was passing through renovations during our stay and our window was covered by a translucid canvas, but that didn't bother me, and it's actually really nice that the hotel is going by renovations on its outside and facade as well, since the renovation in the inside is already done and made the hotel look really modern and new - and the thing I enjoyed the most about this is that the rooms aren't carpeted as many of the oldest hotels rooms are, which makes it even more clean and pleasant, especially for those who, like me, suffer with allergies.
The location is perfect, with two metro stations, 33st and 28st just a no more than 5 minutes away - and 28st being the closest. We could actually easily do many of our visits just by foot, since the hotel is at a fine distance from many turistic spots such as the Empire State, Herald Square, Times Square, New York Public Library and the Broadway Theaters - almost everytime we went to one of those places, we went walking. Also, not more than two blocks away from the hotel are stores and restaurants that were very practical for us during our stay, such as Vezzo Pizza, Anita's Delicatessen (sells water, fruits, coffee and other goods), Guy & Gallard (great for a more light and healthy meal), Trader Joe's and even an AMC Cinema not more than 3 minutes away.
Overall, it was a really great experience and a very pleasant and comfortable stay. We didn't have any problems or disappointements with the hotel and I would definetely recommend it for someone visiting New York City.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks in July on a solo trip and the hotel stay was as comfortable as it could get. The hotel itself is located on prime location close to all amenities and the subway is practically 3-4 minutes away. The staff was super friendly and professional and managed my long stay without a single incident. The rooms are comfy and breakfast has good options to kick start the day. Strongly recommend it!
