The hotel is being remodeled and expanded, that is still in progress
The Room: We were assigned a suite with two rooms, a living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a huge balcony. The room itself is 4 stars , it was brand new nicely remodeled, big and comfortable, it had a view to the beach from which we were 5 minutes walking.
The grounds: This hotel is not that big, which makes it better, it did not looked crowded at anytime, according to the people working there it was at 85% capacity.
The food: the food at the restaurants was good, it was very. well presented and great taste. The buffets were, average like most buffets.
The bar: unlike other all inclusive bars, this one had a better selection of liquors of all types: tequilas and whiskeys is what I was there for. Depending on who was attending the bar on each day the service was excellent or average. Axel by far was the best.
The service: The service in this place is mostly 5 stars, the service was exceptional, Daniel, Moises, Axel, they were the best. People make a difference and the service again here was great.
The beach: The beach is big, and with plenty of space to walk or swim. My only comment is that along the beach in front of the Marival we kept seeing pieces of Styrofoam, the beach by the W, which is very close looked cleaner, but I dont think this is this hotel's fault.
This is the first place where food is served by the pool, I think this would be a very good idea if people knew how to eat, I do not think people is ready for this specially kids, dropping the bone of their chicken wing to the pool.
