Overview

There’s no confusing this B&B. It really is a red cabin. What sets it apart from other cabins isn’t its color, but the gorgeous setting. Surrounded by 20 acres of woods and pasture, you’ll feel well removed from the nearby town of Kenai. The cabin itself is ideal for a small family, with one queen bed in a private bedroom and a queen futon in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, with refrigerator, microwave, oven and stovetop, along with all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you’ll need. Breakfast foods are provided to you each morning. The cabin has a porch, picnic table and grill to make your stay even nicer. Kids will love helping to feed the horses at the nearby barn.

Although it might seem like you’re off the beaten path at the Red Cabin B&B, it’s only 8 miles from the town of Kenai and 6 miles from Soldotna, giving you easy access to a wide range of restaurants and grocery stores. Riverside fishing is only a few miles away, and your hosts will be happy to show you the best spots. Many of the local fishing charters will pick you up at your cabin for a day of sport fishing on the river. Ten minutes away, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge visitor’s center is a great place to start a day of exploring the wilderness. The Red Cabin B&B is the perfect base from which to plan your family’s Alaskan adventure.

Cozy and quaint from the outside but poor interior. Sheets pilled, towels faded, cluttered decor and in need of a thorough cleaning. Poor toiletries-antibacterial soap provided as body wash. Not a B & B; instead they provide a continental breakfast. Our fruit was rotten and molded. Some of the breakfast items were passed their expiration date. Do not recommend.

John and Jacquie are wonderful hosts, knowledgeable about Kenai and surrounding areas. Their love of AK shines thru!

The Little Red Cabin was comfortable and has all the amenities-and more! The horses and dogs greeted us warmly daily as we returned from adventures. Hope to return some day...altho off the beaten path, we were close to the main roads of Kenai and really appreciated the quietness at the end of a busy day.
