Downtown getaway

Honestly surprised by this, but the room could have been a cleaner! Ick. But other than that, super comfy bed and pillows, the front desk staff were great. Appetizers in the hotel restaurant were so so so good! I'm sure if I would have asked, the room could have cleaned up better for us. But overall, nice place.

No Turndown Service!

This hotel is a level five category Marriott and has no business being such. My son and I were staying the night in Cincinnati and although I had a free Marriott certificate for category four or below, I chose to pay for this hotel because I thought it would be the nicest one in the area since it was category 5. Not so! The lobby and front desk employees were very nice and the room was large, however there were many amenities lacking, making the stay average at best. We asked for turndown service and they said it was not offered. What category 5 hotel doesn’t offer turndown service?! So we had no extra towels for showers the next morning, no additional water, coffee, coffee cups or creamers (as we had some in the afternoon), open shades and messy beds. Not great to come back to after a night out. The amenities were of those you would find at a Comfort Inn - scratchy towels and one-ply, scratchy toilet paper, tiny shampoo and conditioner (barely enough for two people), tiny lotion that was clearly used as it was almost empty, and paper coffee cups. The shower door didn’t close properly. But the worst thing about the room was the door going from the room to the bathroom. It was one of those barn doors that slide, so there is an inch gap between the wall and the door, providing NO privacy whatsoever, and no bathroom fan to block out noise. The best thing about the room was that it was well-insulated and couldn’t really hear much hallway noise, and the beds were very comfortable. I would NOT recommend staying here if you’re looking for a high-end hotel.
