Always friendly, rooms always clean, recently renovated

by Christopher D

I have been staying at this Residence Inn regularly for years and have always had a consistent/good experience. Staff are always friendly and the rooms are always clean. A few years back they renovated the rooms so they are clean and modern. To top it off - they serve better beer/wine than I've seen served at the "mix" nights at other Residence Inns (be sure to have a couple of dollars to drop in the donation jar!).
Walking distance to many great restaurants in downtown Bethesda. Also - walking distance to nearby metro.

Still a Great Place

by PKPOWELL

We have stayed here often due to its location and the design of the rooms. Check in was professional and easy, The Red Line Metro Bethesda stop is within 2 blocks. It is also easy to Uber to countless local restaurants or to DC attractions. The included breakfast is good but could use more healthy choices. Pool was closed. The kitchen is well equipped for a short stay. Cannot recommend the sofa bed because when opened it sunk in the middle and there was only one pillow provided for it. Our room at the rear of the hotel was very quiet. Elevator was sometimes slow. This Marriott has the new refillable soap and shampoo containers in the shower which is a nice improvement. I think we had freee wifi, perhaps as members of Bonvoy. The hotel has valet parking for $27/night. A garage across the street (connected to the Hyatt) has self parking for less. There is also a Montgomery County garage around the corner with free weekend parking and meters that can be paid with phone apps.
