Reviews

Marriott in general

by Poipu123

I could only write this by putting in a specific property and my review is for Marriott across the board as possibly the most awful company I’ve ever dealt with in 35 years of travel. Specifically at this property....I stayed one night on points a few months back, usual Marriott blah, but no specific complaint.....until a month later, ANOTHER card hold for incidentals showed up out of the blue on my card. It fell off five days or so later with no charge....but the point being they were using my card to check someone in, and why does their system still have my card on file a month later? (Not the same one as in profile for booking) three phone calls with messages left both verbally with live front desk folks, two more for the GM on voicemail........and ZERO response. Also Called Marriott platinum/titanium line as I’m a Lifetime Plat. Said they would send issue to “corporate” right away. ZERO response. This I’ll named Bonvoy crap is a vulgar, useless excuse of a program. Upgrades nonexistent, response to problems nonexistent. Horribly designed properties. Starwood was not great, but Marriott has utterly ruined them. Why anyone would stay in a Marriott branded property other than to use up points is beyond me. And they should be giving me a zillion points for this misuse of my card and violation of trust, so I could have another crappy stay before using up my points! Thankfully, I have status at Hyatt, and Hilton status matched me to the top of their program.

Great hotel!

We have had a fantastic week long stay at this hotel. Everyone was nice, everything worked like its supposed to. We have received complimentary platinum upgrade to a 2bedroom suite that all
of us including the dog ($100 pet fee) enjoyed. The view of the woods was great.
Room had everything for long term stay.
Breakfast is included with all stays. There is also complimentary light dinner Monday-Wednesday nights with alcohol beverages included.
Very much unlike your usual Marriott hotel because nothing has gone wrong! :-)
