Spacious, pet-friendly, outdoor seating makes this a favorite for families. Inside the small, cheerful dining room, a couple of TVs keep older kids entertained. Like many of the Siesta Key restaurants, it opens for breakfast and lunch only, serving both all day. Right off main drag Ocean Boulevard, it is convenient to shopping and not far from the beach.

The restaurant’s comprehensive breakfast menu is filled with interesting pancakes, omelets, healthy selections, and specialties such as cinnamon roll French toast, crawfish skillet, biscuit beignets, and chicken and waffles. Lunch selections are more concise: burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Its full bar serves four different Bloody Mary varieties by the pitcher.

For the 10-and-younger set, a coloring-page menu offers seven selections for $4.99– from chocolate chip pancakes to scrambled eggs with beverage and a tube of yogurt.
