Bakalo is a Greek eatery located in a traditional Mykonian house that dates back to the 18th century. The restaurant is located in Lakka, in the heart of the old town of Hóra. Bakalo serves real, traditional Greek food from recipes passed down through generations. ‘Little zucchini pies,’ Cycladian cheese dumplings and marinated octopus from Syros are some of the appetizer options.

For the mains, the menu offers souvlaki, lamb shank, orzo with seafood and amberjack skewers with vegetable tabbouleh. The food can be served with Greek salads and a variety of Greek dips.

On the dessert menu, the options are also traditionally Greek. The soft cheese mousse with caramelized figs is a Greek favorite, as is the crispy filo pastry with walnuts, almonds and syrup.

The restaurant is as authentic as the three friends who started the business wanted to make something aesthetically Greek. They welcome families and the atmosphere is a combination of relaxed and stylish.
