The Captain Curt’s complex encompasses a number of operations on the corner where the south bridge reaches the island. The restaurant hearkens back to old Florida style with ultra-casual, picnic-table digs, seafood baskets, and steamed and raw fresh shellfish. It claims the world’s best New England (cream) style clam chowder and also serves grilled and broiled seafood and combinations.

The kids’ menu offers burgers, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, shrimp, and mac-and-cheese for $5.99 each and frozen fruit drinks for $3.99. It also has its own brand of Siesta Key sodas in flavors from root beer to raspberry lime.
