A trip to Fargo isn’t complete without a stop for “chippers,” Red River Valley-grown rippled potato chips drenched in chocolate for a delicious crunch and sweet-salty blend. They also come coated in dark chocolate, peanut butter or almond bark. The candy cases fill up with every variation on chocolates and nut clusters, truffles and other treats, including chocolate-covered, locally grown sunflower seeds. For daring and curious kids (and parents), they also dip pickles and olives in chocolate.
