Cav’s Steakhouse in Labrador, Gold Coast, has families in mind, as they thoughtfully placed a children’s play zone within the restaurant so parents, family and friends can enjoy some conversation in peace while kids have fun. They also hand youngsters coloring sheets and crayons for mealtime entertainment. The restaurant’s children’s menu is more interesting than many places with flash fried calamari, mini grilled rib fillet and fresh snapper.
On the adults menu, the choice is also varied. Starters include oysters, a sausage platter for two, crispy duck pancakes and pumpkin soup. For mains, the grill menu features beef from pastures across Australia. There are seafood main courses and also a selection of plant-based dishes. Wine is served from across the globe and there’s a cocktail menu.
Cav’s was established in 1984 and the proprietor is the grandson of an early pioneer of today’s Gold Coast.
