Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que

301 Stockyards Blvd, Fort Worth, 76164, TX

It’s all about the meat at Cooper’s and visitors looking for authentic Texas BBQ will not be disappointed. The large grill pit is the first stop when entering the restaurant and guests choose their type of meat by weight (i.e. a full rack of ribs or a pound of beef). Ribs, brisket, chopped beef, a whole or half chicken, pork chop, prime rib or sausage are just a few of the meat menu options.

Move down the line and choose some sides like mac and cheese, corn on the cob or beans and of course, don’t forget the cobbler for the dessert! Extra BBQ sauce, at varying degrees of spice, can be found at the condiments counter, where you will also find wet wipes.

The casual atmosphere is perfect for families and the long, seat-yourself picnic tables make finding a place to sit (even for a large group) easy. Be on the lookout for cowboys on a lunch break, too, as many locals frequent Cooper’s (so it’s obviously delicious).
