Doc Taylor’s is the second “must eat” spot for breakfast in Virginia Beach, but they’re also excellent for lunch. In this converted beach cottage, you’ll find an outstanding meal: inexpensive and filling. Don’t miss the Sweet Potato Pecan pancakes, the Cobb Omelet or the Heart Attack with a Chop (three eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns & toast with a New York Strip). We didn’t try it, but the Bloody Mary is said to be world famous and we saw several guests ordering a second.
The filling lunches include sandwiches, burgers, veggie wraps, salads and, of course, fries. Kids are offered five items to choose from on their menu (mac ‘n cheese, PB&J) with nothing costing more than $3.25. Open 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
