“Established before your were born” is located on Durgin Park’s Faneuil Hall marquee, and with good reason: the restaurant has been operating here since before the Revolutionary War. The restaurant is known for its business lunches, celebrity sightings and sassy waitresses, as well as its menu of traditional “Yankee” dishes. Families will find Shepherd’s Pie, Poor Man’s Roast Beef and Thanksgiving on a Roll during the lunch hour, with heart dishes like Roast Loin of Pork, Baked Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp and Roast Beef at dinner. Children’s menu items are all priced under $8. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. daily to 9 p.m. on Sundays, and 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
