El Pimpi

Restaurant

El Pimpi

Calle Granada 62 | rear entreance of Jardines Calle Alcazabilla, Malaga

One of the most famous restaurants in Southern Spain, this over 100-year-old institution is a bodega bar to see and be seen. Located just steps away from the Roman Theatre, Alcazaba and Picasso Museum, the lively atmosphere on the patio and in the interconnecting rooms of the restaurants is what brings locals and tourists together for a taste of fresh Andalucian cuisine.

Fresh, fried anchovies, croquettes, Iberian ham, sheep’s cheese and other tapas are the draw, but familiar favorites can be served to less adventurous children (or adults), like steak and chicken.

Go early for less of a crowd and be aware that there is a 15-percent service fee for dining on the terrace. Check out the famous signatures on the barrels, including Antonio Banderas and Picasso family members.

Hours

Open from 10 am daily.
