This historic and artsy boutique hotel with its Sky Prairie rooftop lounge also earns raves for its farm-to-table foodie dining. Food changes seasonally (and is generally lighter fare in the lounge vs. the adjacent restaurant), but summer offerings may include sweet corn fitters with avocado crÃ¨me fraiche, bison or wild rice burgers, pork chop with fresh peaches and bison hanger steak with roasted plums. Brunch lovers can choose from items such as organic blue corn cakes, seasonal crepes, and shrimp and grits.
The lounge opens at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 5 p.m. on Sunday, serving until midnight or later. The restaurant opens for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
