European restaurants, with their portable credit card machines that hand you a receipt right at the table, have always felt more tech savvy than America. This is especially true with Inamo. The table is basically one big iPad, where you order your appetizers and entrees directly from the computer and the food arrives at your table by a server. A webcam shows the chef hard at work preparing your food. Or you can play a game of battleship with your friend across the table. You can also change the color and design of the tabletop, like wallpaper on a computer, get a layout of the restaurant to find the bathroom without asking, order a taxi, and get a bill all from the smart pad. Oh yes, the food, pan-Asian entrees like tasty black cod, soft shell crab sushi, and cinnamon-apple chicken was also a hit with the family.
