Javi’s Cantina Restaurant Bar


Another great downtown restaurant on the island’s north end, Javi’s is known for doing a terrific parmesan-crusted grouper and also excels at ceviches, grilled kabobs and the like. The owner, Javi, often picks up a guitar and plays for the crowds. Kids have fun scrolling the iPad to see pictures of the menu’s items, and universally love the tacos and, for dessert, flan.

Open Thursday to Tuesday from 3 to 10 p.m.; closed on Wednesday.
