Kooky Canuck

97 S. Second St. , Memphis, 38103-3009, TN

With its log-cabin-style walls and mounted hunting trophies (including bison, caribou, deer, antelope, and even wildebeest), Kooky Canuck looks like it was transported directly from the woods to downtown Memphis. The menu is an interesting mix of up-north and traditional southern fare, featuring combinations like Kathy’s BL ‘FG’ T (a bacon, lettuce and fried green tomato sandwich) and the Corn Brat (a corndog made with bratwurst). The burgers here are so huge that you can order one for the whole family if you want. The Kookamonga is four pounds of beef and the King Kookamonga (should you be brave enough to order it) is six pounds. Both come on a fresh-baked bun and are topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and cheese.

If your kids order s’mores for dessert, they get to make them right at the table. Open for lunch and dinner only.
