Melitini is located in Oia with stunning views over the Caldera. The restaurant is run by a former banker from Athens and his childhood friend who decided to leave the rat race behind and start a restaurant. Melitini serves coffee, wine, beer and ouzo alone, as well as with full meals.
The menu is unique in the fact that it serves traditional tapas containing only Greek ingredients. The proprietors cook recipes that have been handed down the generations in their families. The menu is divided up into sections such as ‘cheese’, ‘cold meats’, ‘in the frying pan’ and ‘in the pot.’ Ingredients include an extensive array of seafood and meat, as well as plant-based options.
The ‘hot cheese sauce’ is popular with dairy fans. The menu is varied so it will suit most families, even those with fussy eaters.
