Oistins is a working class fishing village that opens its tables to guests every Friday and Saturday night for what has become “the thing” to do in Barbados. Every kind of fish possible is served fried or grilled, along with chicken and some lamb. The cole slaw and macaroni pie are local favorites, and many will argue about the best methods of preparation for each. Try to be there by about 6:30 p.m. or so, as it gets crowded and crazy. Lots of music and activity make this a fun evening for the whole family.
