Just a nine-minute drive from the center of Uptown Charlotte is another pizza spot frequented by locals. The Pizza Peel’s stated goal is “to create the best pizza crust in town, one that is chewy on the inside yet crunchy on the outside.”

The menu is nicely stocked with an offering of hefty sandwiches (pretzel burger, anyone?), pastas, and specialty pizzas (one with a sense of humor: Sorry for Partying Supreme).
