You know the conch is fresh when they’re pulling it out of an underwater conch pen behind the conch shack on the harbor. Conch salad – the Bahamians’ answer to ceviche — is the specialty, and you can watch as it’s made right before your eyes. Grilled lobster is another.
You can also order conch fritters, spicy shrimp, other seafood dishes, sodas, and cocktails. The pace is slow, so plan on gazing out at the sea or sunset.
