While a “brewing company” may not sound family-friendly, this one is. Yes, there is a huge bar back along one wall of the restaurant, but it doesn’t take away from the restaurant’s overall family-friendly atmosphere. There are TVs mounted everywhere, the tables are nicely spaced out and there is plenty of ambient noise so kids being kids don’t stand out.

As for the menu, there is the usual selection of appetizers (buffalo wings, chips and salsa, spinach and artichoke dip, etc.), salads, soups, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. Especially popular are the River City Fish & Chips and the “Not Your Mama’s Mac (the regular Mac N Cheese is awesome!).

The kids’ menu (which doubles as a color sheet) contains chicken tenders with fries, mini corn dogs with fries, mac and cheese, and pepperoni pizza. All kids’ menu items are $4.99 and include choice of soda, milk or juice. When you’re ready for dessert, don’t miss the Stout Brownie (kid- and adult-approved!).
