Most coffee shops don’t have people taking photos of their building before they even walk in the doors, but the Roast & Toast, a Petoskey institution right in the bullseye of the Gaslight shopping district, is that pretty. Colorful shards of broken coffee mugs form a mosaic on the entranceway, perfect for a photo op before sipping and supping.
While they do offer breakfast, lunch and even dinner, with lots of soup and sandwich options, this place is all about the beans. With highly trained roasters and baristas, the Toast has been roasting and brewing beans since 1992.
Coffee nuts can go wild with 5 varieties daily, roasted on site, including the Zen, Milky Way Mocha, and The Accidental Tourist. They mean it when they say their coffee is fresh: Any inventory of coffee roasted for longer than two weeks is donated to a local food pantry.
Open every day, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
