Steps from the Ocean Bay Park ferry dock, the Schooner Inn features an extensive menu of traditional American fare, including chowders, clams and oysters on the half shell, pasta and seafood entrees and good, old-fashioned burgers. The Schooner Inn is the only Fire Island restaurant with its own bay-front beach, and kids will love the Wednesday night hermit crab races that begin at 6, as well as the child-friendly menu. The inn also serves breakfast daily from 8 to 11 in the morning and offers onsite bicycle and kayak rentals.
