A quintessential Asian experience is eating street food at hawker stalls, and Taipei offers the opportunity in spades. Among the largest and most popular night markets is the Shilin Night Market, which actually opens in the afternoon. All kinds of vendors hawk things like dumplings, noodles, fried buns and oyster omelets. This is also a good place to shop for cheap souvenirs and clothes.
