One of a few restaurants on Siesta Key with a water view, Turtles has been a favorite for more than 30 years. Its comprehensive lunch, Sunday brunch, and dinner menus are heavy on seafood but please everyone in the family with sandwiches, salads, steak, and pasta. Specialties include orange pecan chicken, gulf shrimp and crab au gratin, and salmon pasta.

Convenient for families on a budget, the early bird menu runs from 3 to 6 p.m., and the kids’ menu lists eight items for $6 each. With all that savings, you can splurge on a thick milkshake. Sit on one of the patios waterside or in the bright dining rooms with tropical wall murals.
