Families that like the idea of a vacation home but desire the services and amenities that a luxury resort can offer can have the best of both worlds at Reunion Resort. At the 2,300-acre golf resort, located six miles from Walt Disney World, fully equipped home-away-from-home rentals are furnished in decor that ranges from comfortably casual to downright palatial. Guests enjoy access to a full menu of recreational activities (golf, tennis, spa services), as well as a personal concierge who will take care of all the details, from grocery shopping to baby-sitting arrangements. For kids, there are a playground and bike rentals, as well as a camp for ages 4 to 12. However, many guests prefer to spend their time at the resort’s expansive five-acre water park. With multiple slides, waterfalls and a winding lazy river, it’s a destination unto itself.

We stayed as a family of 4 in the tower 2-bed apartment. We were allocated room 1007 which is fundamentally flawed by a gushing loud leak from the floor above, cascading right down the building with black watermark stains you can actually see from the highway, miles away. The leak went right outside the master bedroom window and we had no sleep on the first night. At 7pm we entered the apartment and immediatly reported the issue but were told no other rooms available.
A horrific start to the holiday and at 7am on day two we went to reception demanding to see a Manager, feeling sick from no sleep. We showed him photos/videos and were moved however the new apartment wasn't ready until 3pm. We packed and went out and bell services helped us move to a beautiful appartment with no issues. The question is why were we allocated this room? There is no way they didn't know about this issue. It put our holiday off to a bad start and its just not fair.
We book through Virgin so its possible rooms are allocated on arrival but we didn't feel we were looked after at all and they expected us to stay in the defected room with no sleep!!!!
We went for a meal on the 11th floor and we had only ordered drinks when the fire alarm went off and we were evacuated. We were ushered into the lift by the manager and I questioned the safety and was told its fine. When we got to reception the staff there didn't even know there was an issue. the fire brigade attended and it turned out it was a new electrical applicance that set the alarm system off. We were not updated on whether the restaurant would open again and when we were asked we were told it was fine. We ended up going back up to the restaurant where the alarm kept going off but no evacuation. When the bill came they didn't even bother deductng a round of drinks for our inconvenience, we were waiting outside for 30 minutes.
The pool areas at The Cove and The Water Park were dirty. I pulled a plastic cup out of the floor of the swimming pool at The Cove and there were cigarette butts and red drinks stains around the pool deck, in addition to gum. Just not acceptable. We mentioned it to the reception staff who were just apathetic
On one day, we got to our apartment to find our key card didn't work anymore as they'd fitted a new lock system. They never bothered to let us know and reception staff thought the roll out would start the next day. We had to go to reception after a long day out and queue for a new key. (queues at the reception desk are epic after 8am) The next day, we got a letter warning of an upcoming key card change.
The day after that, we got back to find that our apartment door had been left ajar by staff.
The operations of this organisation are just so disjointed and unorganised, its disconcerting.
The positives are that the Tennis staff are excellent. The standard of cleanliness in the apartment was exceptional.
When we did get a decent apartent, eveything worked well and it was great to have a quality washer/dryer facility.
This is a very large complex and if you don't need help from reception, might work for you. Our take home is that golfers, residents and members come first here, not vacationers.
We are still fuming they thought it was acceptable to allocate us a room like this on arrival and sincerely hope this wont happen to anyone else,.

This is our 4th time to Reunion. We love it! Time share presentation was horrible. After being persuaded to try the two year trial period with supposedly 300,000 points, a bonus book of coupons, other promised gifts for $135 per month. They pulled my credit, which caused a hard pull. Told me I qualified then couldn’t print out the paperwork because of problems with the printer. Said she would get back to us the next day and send the documents docusign. Never heard from her. Went to the office and they said she would call shortly. Still never heard from her. Went to the office again and they sent us to another lady as Catherine was off. This lady was the rudest ever. Foreign and could not speak English very well. Did not want to work with us at all. Wanted to pull the credit again, I said no, just forget it, we don’t need it. Then said we can take 1700 down and not pull the credit. No thanks. You can’t stick to what you offered when I didn’t even want the timeshare but agreed to try it. They are scammers, nasty and don’t follow through. We will continue to visit the Reunion with our deals we get through the website, we don’t need your timeshare. Don’t fall into their SCAM.....
