Our staycation found us at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort (because the Beach resorts had red tide). It is beautiful beyond belief, spotlessly clean, superb service and VERY pricey so be forewarned. Plenty of excellent dining options.
Before our arrival I received 2 emails asking for any requests.
I said yes please make up the sofa bed for my daughter to sleep.
Upon arrival no one opened the doors, surely if there is no doorman the doors should self open.
Check in went smoothly, went to suite and the sofa was not made up, it was 8pm, I called and was told the hotel is very full and housekeeping is helping someone else at the moment.
Surely if a hotel is very full it should add extra staff not pass complaint on to a customer?
No arrival note or small gift which is very odd for a suite.
The sofa bed was super uncomfortable, a very thin mattress with dips in that needs to be replaced, an older child would not want to sleep on this.
The next morning at breakfast we sat out outside and again poor service, had to request water and coffee refills and no one else was eating!
In the room could hear guests talking and closing doors.
