Leave your electronics at home and enjoy the idyllic setting of the Robinson Crusoe Island Resort. Guests can live life like they’re characters in a Daniel Defoe novel. The island is full of hiking and sightseeing opportunities. The staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They could not do enough for each and everyone. They really are the diamond in the rough.

The shows were spectacular, and filled with crowd participation.
The ‘fire-walking’ isn’t really ‘Fire walking’- it’s more standing as a display to show the resilience of the heated stones. I think I was expecting like a fire walking ‘show’. But still good.

The meals- very similar and ordinary. The fried rice was probably my favourite!
But 7 days of similar food, and if you miss the drum call for breakfast/lunch/dinner- you aren’t left with many options at all.
Management said that this was due to change in the future which will be good.

The pricing of the accomodation looks affordable- but when you add up the mandatory meal plans, transport to and from the island (bus and boat), extras you will need like water, snacks, bar tabs (keep track of them so you aren’t surprised like we were- or settle them each night/morning). After 7 days, it can easily add up.

There are no fridges in your room- so you cannot keep your own drinks cool. One 1.5 litre bottle of water is provided daily to share between couples per room.
This is not nearly enough for two people per day.
More water can be purchased from the bar though.

All in all, the shows were spectacular. Food was ok- just a little repetitive. Local staff were AMAZING!!!!!!

This island is due for some major upgrades which will be wonderful to see, and improve the experience for a lot of future travellers.

If I were to go back to Fiji- I would definitely take the kids to a night show at the island- maybe stay one night- but no more than that.

7 Days of R & R

We stayed on the island for 7 days and nights. The staff on the island where awesome. Friendly, helpful and seemed to go that extra mile every time.
The shows are well done and even on the non show days evenings where spent around either the Kava bowl or fire on the beach playing guitar and singing.
The only disapointment was the lack of variety in the food but to be fair they cater largly to the day and evening visitors. We would love to return again some day. Vinaka and thankyou to all our friends on the Island.
