Just a clean bed for the night, expect no more.

by Michael M

My comments are based on spending one night here off season in November. The reception was clean and tidy and also doubled as the breakfast room for the mornings. I was met by the manager (could have been more friendly in approach) and directed to my room while also introducing me to the WiFi code.
The room was at the far end of the property and the window was left a little open on my arrival, hence the room was cold. The heating was controlled by a wall mounted heater that took forever to heat up. Thankfully there was also a second portable unit that could be plugged in. At this stage I needed to use the laundry facilities but the dryer was the only unit working..... back to hand washing. At this time I also discovered no drain plug in the hand basin so had to use the bath to wash.
The external look of the place is fairly fresh but my room was old and tired inside. The bathroom also contained evidence of a previous female guests nail clippings on the tiled floor....not nice!
The bed was comfortable but a stepladder was needed to get into it, it was so high almost 36 inches, glad I didn't fall out.
Overall the place was OK for the money paid for the room, small things could be done better at little cost that would enhance the visitor experience = better reviews= more guests= more money.

poor experience

Room was in poor condition and needed some serious reconditioning. Room needed painting and carpeting needed replacing. Light bulbs were missing, lamps didn't work,no air, refrigerator and microwave didn't work. There was no one in the office when I went to report my concerns
