Hotel undergoing renovations at the moment

by Mary-Ann O

This hotel's website still states that Full English breakfasts are available, and also one of the Room Features is stated as Room Service for Food during limited hours. I had made my booking via this website, thus I was disappointed on arrival to be told that neither of these services was currently available due to some renovations being carried out. If I was considering using this hotel again, I would first phone them to confirm the current situation; I myself would not go back until all works had been completed. If anyone reading this review would like to use this hotel, I strongly recommend phoning before continuing to book online. Oxford is a city which doesn't sleep, I discovered this at night-time when I found it hard to fall asleep in my room which overlooked the busy road junction. There is no lift. So I can only give an 'Average' review rating at the moment. Having said all this, I feel the hotel could be a really nice place to stay once all works are finished.

Three Star Hotel - Five Star Staff and shower!

by Margaret S

The desk staff were amazingly helpful and even the cleaning lady in the morning offered to carry my case. Good size room and blissfully you can open a window. Yes there will be traffic noise if you do but it is the centre of Oxford. Brilliant shower, complimentary tea coffee, biscuits and fruit. Very good for three star Hotel. Great location for walking to sites and restaurants. And it's near Seacourt Park & Ride with 24hr parking for £4, bus return £3. While I stayed it was being refurbished and we all know the dust builders create. Even so it was constantly hoovered and wiped to keep clean. Highly recommend.
