3 Strikes we were out of as far from this place as possible

Decided at the last minute to do a birthday/Mother's Day weekend with my family. Booked this hotel through Arrived at 2 AM and spent a lot of time on the beach before we decided it was time to get some sleep. Room 1: My husband originally stayed in the room while my daughter and I went to the beach, but he said the smell in the room was making him sick. I told him the smell was probably due to being at the beach. When he used the facilities the toilet wouldn't flush. So we called the front desk and we were told we could come get the plunger and do it ourselves. Needless to say that wasn't acceptable so she said she would send someone to our room. The security guy arrived and tried to hand over the plunger. I said to him since you have to take it back anyway could you do it? Reluctantly he did plunge the toilet for us and said " Oh, this isn't good." Someone had jammed something into the toilet and the water poured out all over the tiles. I asked "Why didn't housekeeping find this out when they cleaned the room prior to our arrival?" At least we now knew the reason for the smell. Room 2: I found fecal matter in the corner. Don't know how housekeeping could have missed that. Room 3: Fecal matter or what looked like fecal matter was smeared across the bathroom door. At this point I wondered if they even hired someone to clean the place. That was it, no more chances. It was now 4 AM. As we were checking out there was someone else also checking out due to the poor conditions of the hotel. In addition, I had to grab my daughter and protect her from all the drunks and creeps that were actually staying there, some old guy tried to hit on her. This place looked like a "pay by the hour" kind of place you see on tv. That night we were driving around Myrtle Beach and just happened to pass this place. It was hard to miss with all the police, ambulances, and fire trucks surrounding it. The only redeeming quality about this place is the little old security guard that tried to help us out.

Run down....Dirty

The corridors and elevator are filthy. A banana peel was left in the corridor our entire stay. The only reason we stayed here in the first place was because we travel with our dog. Never again will I stay here. If ask, I will tell people not to stay in this dump.
