Overview

Situated on 17 acres of land at the very end of Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Crest, Seapointe Village is an oceanfront residence community with ocean and pool views galore. The property allows families to enjoy all that the Jersey Shore has to offer without the business of the boardwalk right outside your door. Privately owned condos, townhomes and single family homes are available for rent on a weekly basis year-round. A private beach is always no more than 10-minute walk from one of the buildings and four pools are located within the property, all at different locations, with separate areas for children and hot tubs for teens and adults. A children’s program for those between 4 and 8 years old is offered for a fee, but will help parents when looking for adult-only time. A playground, basketball court and tennis courts sit in the center of all the buildings, which make them easily accessible from any location.

Besides the lack of an onsite restaurant — though families won’t need one with spacious kitchens in every accommodation — the Seapointe Village has everything families will need while on vacation. Though it may come at a slightly heftier price than the other Morey’s Piers properties for a single family, a select number of accommodations can house more than one family, allowing for more affordable rates. Nonetheless, the village is a place to relax with family and friends when not riding the rides or sliding down the slides of the Wildwood boardwalk and its water parks.

Room Information

Find the Best Price for Your Stay

Eleven different accommodations and buildings house approximately 522 residences. Built in 1986, the condos, townhomes and single family homes are all privately owned and cleaned by housekeeping services. All of the one- to four-bedroom accommodations come with full kitchens, living and dining areas and separate bedrooms, though each one is unique with its décor. Some have sofa beds and most can sleep up to eight. All residences have one to three bathrooms, with Philosophy brand amenities, in-unit washers and dryers and balconies or balconettes. Flat-screen TV's, DVD players, towels, dishes, utensils and more are all readily available for guests in every residence. Cribs and Pack 'N Plays are not available, however, so bring your own. The front desk can also offer recommendations for local companies that rent them.

The North Beach Building, Pinnacle Building and South Beach Building are located directly across from the sand, with balcony views of the Atlantic from every residence. The other buildings are slightly removed from the beach, but all have fantastic views of the property and pool areas, which are manicured and well maintained with lush gardens. Three of these other accommodations include Ibis, Garden and Centre Court Buildings. Townhomes, Single Family Homes, the Pan American Penthouse, Diamond View and Ocean Sands are also under Seapointe Village management, though they are spread out and not all located near each other or the amenities in Seapointe Village.

North Beach
North Beach is the closest to the beach and is located near the large pool area, which also has four hot tubs. It offers families one- to three-bedroom condos with one to two bathrooms. Most have ocean views and balconies. Condos here can sleep between four and eight guests.

Pinnacle
Located across the pool and courtyard area from North Beach, Pinnacle is also close to the beach and pool area. It has oceanview rooms with one or two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms. Condos here can sleep between four and eight guests. The lobby area on the first floor houses a game room, exercise room, steam bath, sauna and vending machines.

South Beach
South Beach is exactly like North Beach. It is close to the beach and pool area and offers one- to three-bedroom condos with one or two bathrooms. Condos here can sleep between four and eight guests. Rooms with balconies are available and most have ocean views.

Ibis
Condos in Ibis offer families one to three bedrooms and one or two bathrooms. All have ocean or bay views and some have balconies. Garages are available and can house two cars. Ibis is close to the indoor/outdoor pool and Centre Court area. Condos here can sleep between four and eight guests.

Garden
Condos in Garden sleep between four and six guests in one- or two-bedroom accommodations with one or two bathrooms. All have pool views and the building is close to the playground and BBQ grills. Balconies are available.

Centre Court
The closest building to the playground, Centre Court pool area, basketball courts and tennis courts, Centre Court is great for families. Condos here offer one or two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms. Accommodations can sleep between four and eight guests. Balconies are available.

Townhomes
Townhomes sleep up to eight guests and have private garages beneath the accommodations, which can house two cars. These offer one to three bedrooms and one to three bathrooms. Townhomes have multiple floors and stairs, and some have fireplaces and balconies or patios.

Single Family Homes
The largest accommodations available, Single Family Homes offer two to four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are only 20 available in Seapointe Village and they are the furthest from the beach. Private garages, courtyards, patios and yards offer extra space. These are a great option for two families vacationing together, as there is more privacy and space. These homes can sleep up to eight guests.

Pan American Penthouse
Although a part of the Pan American Hotel, the penthouse is rented through Seapointe Village. It is located on the top floor of the hotel, which is on Ocean Avenue and close to the Wildwood boardwalk, about 10 minutes from Seapointe Village. The penthouse offers families three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can sleep up to eight guests. The penthouse has a private pool and hot tub, and balconies offer views of the beach and ocean.

Diamond View
Condos at Diamond View, which is located on Rochester and Atlantic Avenues, about 10 minutes from Seapointe Village, offer families three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A pool is available and the building is located one block from the beach. Balconies offer beach and ocean views and condos here can sleep up to eight.

Ocean Sands
Ocean Sands is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhome that can sleep up to eight. A private two-car garage is available for families and it has its own pool. The townhome can sleep up to eight. It is not handicap accessible.

All residences must be rented for at least one week during the high season, though shoulder seasons will allow guests to rent for less than seven days. All buildings have elevators and stairs, though not every individual condo, townhome or apartment has Wi-Fi, as they are privately owned and Internet access is up to the owner's discretion -- be sure to ask for accommodations with Wi-Fi if that is a necessity during your vacation. If not, lobby and pool areas offer complimentary Internet.

Poor management, disappointing property

by enjoythemoment11

We stayed in Unit 213 North Beach. The cost was over $400/night including all taxes and fees. This was on the ground floor and had no privacy curtains in the master bedroom. The entire parking lot could watch you sleep, change clothes, etc. The room was daytime bright all through the night due to lights in the parking lot. There is no door on the washer and dryer in the unit and they are so loud that neighboring units complained about the noise to us. There are no reviews of each individual unit online so there is no way to know what you are getting. The management (Dorothy or "Dotty") would not apologize. There are apparently no minimum rules to rent each property. They said they would contact the individual property owner and I might have a response in 3-4 months regarding any possible credit they could offer. Absolutely unacceptable stay and customer service for this price point.

Family Activities

The private beach is for Seapointe Village guests only, so it will never feel crowded. Enjoy splashing in the ocean, boogie boarding through the waves, building a sand castle or playing beach volleyball. A rental stand offers families chairs, umbrellas, towels and toys, as well as snacks and refreshments for a fee. Showers and bathrooms are located on the beach, as well.

The pool areas will really get the kids excited though, as there are four and each is different. The Ibis pool is the only indoor/outdoor pool, which allows for water fun even on rainy or chilly days. It is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is located near the children's playground and basketball courts. Beyond the Ibis pool is another little outdoor splash area that is about 2-inches deep, which is perfect for infants. Lounge chairs outline the circular splash pool for parents to sit and relax in with little ones. The North Beach pool offers a slightly larger area for kids and families, with more lounge chairs. The multi-level pool also has three hot tubs for teens and adults ages 16 and older. The Garden pool is another simple pool great for splashing in, but it is nothing like the pool at Centre Court.

The pool at Centre Court offers kids a splash playground, with showers that will drench anyone who dares. Two pools are connected via a small slide that looks more like a decorative ramp -- but trust us, kids will (and should!) enjoy the ride down it before climbing out and crossing the bridge only to do it again. The pools at Garden, North Beach and Centre Court are all open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and lifeguards are on duty at all times.

Right next to the Centre Court pool is the basketball court (shooting contests take place weekly), tennis courts and children's playground, which consists of a jungle gym and swings on top of soft mulch, which will help cushion any possible falls.

The children's activity program is offered daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. throughout the high season and is for children ages 4 to 8. For $25 per day, kids can play games, splash in the pool, enjoy arts and crafts and more. Wednesday or Thursday nights also offer parents a little alone time as the kids can take part in a nighttime activity (changes weekly).

A game room is also located on the property in the Pinnacle building and offers coin-operated arcade games (a change machine is provided). Snack and soda machines, as well as small tables, are also available in the game room.

Family Dining

The only "onsite" eatery at Seapointe Village is the Deli Hut, located on the beach. It is open seasonally and serves breakfast, lunch and some dinners in season.

All residences come with fully equipped kitchens, so be sure to stop at a local grocery store for meals and snacks before arriving. Note: Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest have many smaller convenience stores, such as Wawa and 7-Eleven, but only two major grocery stores, A&P and Acme, are available and both located less than 10 minutes from the village.

If looking for recommendations, the front desk will be happy to point guests in the right direction when it comes to local restaurants, and the staff can assist in making reservations, too.

BBQ grills are also available on a first come, first served basis for cooking meals. Picnic tables and umbrellas are located right near the grills, as well. And for dessert, be sure to make S'mores with the family at the fire pit. Grills and the fire pit are located near the Centre Court pool.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
The front desk is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and an emergency number will be provided for anything that may be needed after it closes for the evening.

Parking is free for one car per family, and is located in a garage near or directly under your accommodations.

Wi-Fi may not be in every residence as each unit is privately owned, but it is complimentary in all lobby and pool areas.

There is a gift shop off the main lobby that sells all the essentials, such as sun tan lotion and toothpaste. Bathing suits, flip-flops, clothing and souvenirs are also available for purchase here.

Every pool is handicap accessible.

Complimentary water and coffee are located in the main lobby near the front desk, just next to the gift shop.

A fitness center is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and offers treadmills, elliptical machines, stepping-machines, stationary bicycles and free weights.

The concierge is happy to provide information on local babysitters, tennis professionals, bicycle rentals and more. Just ask!

The Art of Smart Timing
Seapointe Village is open year-round. If possible, visit during May and the beginning of June for a quiet experience. September and October will also be quiet and comfortable, as older children are back in school. The high season for the Jersey Shore is July and August and residences book quickly, as most guests are annual visitors to Seapointe Village.

The weather is sure to be sunny and warm, around 80 degrees, which makes for perfect beach days, and evenings will be cooler, especially on the boardwalk, so bring a sweater. Beaches are sure to be crowded in July and August, but the beach at Seapointe is large and private, so guests will find a spot easily.

Getting There
Wildwood is located at the very end of the Jersey Shore and the closest airport is Atlantic City International Airport, which services Spirit and United Airlines. Philadelphia International Airport is 1.5 hours away but another alternative, and one that services more airlines. A rental car will be needed to travel from the airport to Seapointe Village. If coming from the south or west, take the Delaware Memorial Bridge and look for signs for the Garden State Parkway -- Wildwood is Exit 4B. If coming from New England, drive down I-95 to Exit 7 for the Garden State Parkway until Exit 4B. Once in Wildwood, drive through until you reach Wildwood Crest. Seapoint Village is located at the very end of Atlantic Avenue -- you truly can't miss it!

Getting Around
Wildwood is largely walkable, but bicycling is also big in town. A car will make trips to local stores easiest though. You'll also need a car to get to the boardwalk since Seapointe Village is located at the far end of the area. When walking the two-mile boardwalk, little legs may get tired -- pick up tram, which runs 11 a.m. to pier closing time (about 1 a.m. during the peak summer months) and costs $3 per person, per ride. It will stop anywhere along the boardwalk.

For Mom and Dad
Wildwood Crest is a dry town and Seapointe Village does not have a bar or restaurant onsite. Make a stop for wine or beer at a store in North Wildwood or Wildwood (Green's Liquors is located on the corner of Pacific Avenue and West Hildreth Avenue) before getting to the village, and enjoy a relaxing night-cap on the balcony while stargazing and looking out onto the Atlantic.
