Evandra, Andres, and all the staff here (Miru sp?) make this little hotel a gold mine of comfort. They simply could not have been more honest, more helpful, more caring. My sister needed a physician and they made it happen at the hotel within a couple of hours. They made sure the taxi accurately got us to and from an all-night pharmacy several miles away, and they were waiting for us at the curb when we returned to make sure all was as needed. They provided translation services for the physician. They never failed to offer greetings, smiles, or a sense of humor. Fluent English was very helpful. Special thanks to Evandra who is sunshine to all who come in contact with her and a fantastic representative for this hotel; I have never met a more welcoming hotelier.
An Uber delivered us directly to the door of the hotel. The hotel itself is perfectly located to the bus stop that goes to the major tourist points of interest in Sintra (Palace of Pena, Moorish Castle, Vila Sassetti), the ATM, the restaurants, the tourist information center, and shops. Our room was extremely quiet, comfortable, and larger than many in Europe, and it had a view of Sintra National Palace; our room happened to be the handicapped accessible room. Breakfast was lovely. There is a coffee maker in each room for before breakfast service. Wifi worked perfectly.
FYI: You can walk to Regaleira Palace and Gardens or take an Uber or taxi; is a bit of a walk for some and the last part is uphill; within the park is quite a bit more walking.
We stayed for one night in a deluxe king with breakfast. Although the room seemed a bit dated, it was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Contents in the mini-frig were complementary. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They were able to pre-purchase tickets for the Quinto da Regaleira and Pena Palace that helped save us from waiting in line. Breakfast, although not spectacular, was good and convenient. Hotel is perfectly located in the center of town, easy to wander around without climbing up a lot of hills. Upon arrival they took care of parking at no additional cost. The only downside was that we should have stayed two nights! There is so much to see in this area. Priced very reasonably. Highly recommended.
