Great place to stay.. will be staying again if we are in the area. Great customer service, very clean attendants very courteous. Consider staying with them if you're in the area. Price is well worth it.

A nice hotel, but with a couple of issues

by ALouisianaTraveler

I stayed at this hotel twice, eight days apart. This hotel is in a good location, has restaurants nearby, and is convenient to I-85. My room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate my request to check in early, on one of these stays. When it was open (see below), the pool was nice. There is also a guest laundry facility. I didn't sample any of the breakfast offerings, so I cannot judge that.

On my first stay, I was looking forward to a dip in the pool, but it was closed. When I inquired about it, the attendant at the front desk said that it hadn't been cleaned. Really? This is summer in the Deep South--you would think the pool should have been cleaned by then. It remained closed all day. A call to Choice Hotels elicited the predictable statement about each property having its own policies. On my second stay, the pool was closed again; however this time, when I asked at the front desk, it was unlocked immediately.

Wireless Internet did not work either time. Fortunately, I was able to pick up the signal from the nearby fast food restaurant, so all was not lost.

Overall, it is a nice hotel, but both Internet and the swimming pool are important to me, so I am deducting two stars. With a choice of several other accommodations nearby, I may choose one of them next time, rather than staying here.
